At Aquaread we are very proud of our award history which dates back to 2009 when we kicked off with the award for innovation. We have since gained recognition for success in international markets and for science and technology.
In January 2009 Aquaread won a Shell LiveWIRE ‘Grand Ideas’ Award. The £1000 prize helped us with tooling costs when developing our first Aquaprobe.

The 2011 Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA) gala evening was held at Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall. Each entrant goes through a rigorous judging process including face-to-face interviews, so being chosen as a winner in two categories is a great achievement.
Kevin Lynes, Kent County Council Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development said: “All of the entrants were of a very high standard and Kent has once again shown that it really is the place to do business. Top 3 Finalist in the Brighton University Enterprise Awards
The Brighton University Enterprise Awards celebrate the innovation, collaboration and enterprise of local businesses who have been working with the university. Aquaread has worked closely with the University of Brighton’s Aquatic Research Centre on projects and in May 2012 a paper that we co-authored was published in Water Research, an international academic journal.

In 2012 there were 40 KEiBA finalists, whittled down from a record 265 entries, eagerly waiting to find out if they were winners. This year’s gala night was held at the home of Gillingham F.C., Priestfield.
Kent County Council Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, Mark Dance, said, “I want to send my heartfelt congratulations to everyone who took part in this year’s KEiBA – and in particular to the exceptional and deserving winners.”

This year there were nearly 300 entrants all hungry to be recognised for their innovation, leadership and achievement. We were delighted to win the highly coveted KEiBA for Best Science and / or Technology Business, which the judges stated puts “Aquaread firmly on the map as a business which is making waves”.
