On the 14th and 15th October 2015 the Aquaread team attended the Flood Expo event at ExCel London, an event designed to “present solutions to widespread flooding problems from the world’s leading flood prevention companies”.
As well as this innovative, high quality flood prevention equipment, the event plays host to some great talks and workshops, with 80 seminars and 150 suppliers present over the two day show. There were also live demonstrations on the banks of the River Thames to show off the full potential of some of the equipment, allowing people to see it in action and really evaluate its true performance.
Aquaread were thrilled to have a stand at this prestigious event, allowing us to show off our great early warning flood systems and scientific-quality multiparameter water quality testing equipment. We also wanted to showcase our handy Guide to Flood Protection, containing information on the causes of flooding, how to find out if you’re at risk and how to protect your home. Take a look at our press release on the Flood Expo for more information.
Craig Harrison, managing director of Aquaread, said that this year’s Flood Expo was bigger and better than ever before. “This year the Flood expo grew in size, as did the footfall to our stand. I would say that around 90% of the visitors to our stand were very interested in our early warning flood systems, and I am confident that there will be some great sales off the back of the exhibition”.
Technical marketing director at Aquaread, Chris Peacock, said: “The Flood Expo 2015 was, as always, a great show. The visitors to the event are always of a high caliber, and this year in particular we were excited to have lots of interest from water utilities and local councils, resulting in some really promising interactions. Plus, our free Aquaread rugby balls were also very popular – we completely ran out!”
